2024-2025 Perth Study Tour: Day 2

Day 2 - Bay View Park and Rottnest Island

Bay View Park is located in Mosman Park. It can be found on Bay View Terrace with views of the Swan River and Perth Hills. It is picture perfect with an elevated view of Perth and its surroundings, with lovely big trees to provide shelter on a hot day. 

We visited the park after a delicious buffet breakfast. The students took lots of photos of the beautiful park and had fun playing in the children’s playground.

After that, we took a ferry to Rottnest Island at the pier. The ferry ride was about 25 minutes long. Students looked at the beautiful view on the ferry and ate the ice lollies happily. After getting off the ferry, we had lunch in a Western restaurant. We ate pizza, pasta and cheesecake. Overall, the food was delicious and we enjoyed the food. While we were eating, some quokkas came near us and moved under the tables. It was like we were having lunch together with these cute animals. It was so interesting. 

After lunch, we had a Hop-on Hop-off bus tour to explore Rottnest Island. We looked at lots of beautiful beaches and the beautiful view of the island. After getting off the bus, it's time to take photos of quokkas. The students were excited to take a good shot of them as they were named the happiest animal in the world. We wanted to capture the moment that the quokkas were wearing a smile on their faces.  Finally, we went to a souvenir shop and the visitors’ centre to buy some souvenirs. We had a great day!
